Abstract Recent philosophy has witnessed a renewed interest in the works and ideas of Henri Bergson (1859–1941). But while contemporary scholarship sought to rehabilitate Bergson’s insights on time, memory, consciousness, human freedom, comparatively little attention been paid relationship pantheism. By revisiting ‘pantheism’ controversy surrounding Bergsonian during lifetime, this article argues that panentheistic notion ‘being-in-God’ can serve as an illuminating framework for interpretation philosophy. examining ‘pantheist’ readings comparing contrasting life with Spinoza’s metaphysics, paper shows account ‘being-in-Life’ is key metaphysical outlook well his practice ‘intuitive’ thinking.
